Vegetarian Bodybuilding Protein Powder...any suggestions?

Hey guys,

This is the introductory blog entry for Vegetarian Man. I'd like to initiate a discussion on vegan protein mixes. Which ones do you prefer? Which ones are the best for your body? Which ones are the tastiest? Which ones are the best for vegetarian bodybuilding? I guess if you can figure out what the professional vegetarian bodybuilding uses then we can backtrack to see if its suitable for the everyday vegetarian man.

Not a dude but do know of protein powders. The one that I like is vegan (Vega by Sequel Naturals). While nutritionally superb, it is neither tasty or appealing straight out of the box. Think of it like the protein powder version of Buxley's Cough syrup.

You'll need to mask the hemp taste with fruits (try lemon zest and a combination of berries as I find "sour/bitter" masks the taste best). Depending on which fruits you use, the green color will also change.

Another vegan option, while not a powder, is Clif's Builders bars. The peanut butter flavor (which should be called caramel) is my favorite. I eat half, but a guy could get away with eating a whole bar.

I consume Living Harvest's vegan protein powder. It is delicious and full of vitamins and minerals. Their hemp milk is delicious as well!!!
